Baan Bussaba Hotel

This is a lovely, comfortable, and quiet hotel in a perfect location for a one night stopover, or to use as a base to explore Trang and the surrounding areas. I stayed here for two nights at the beginning of my travels in the south and had not really planned much. The host made great recommendations of places to visit in the city and nearby. She also arranged transport on to Koh Lanta, and sent me on my way with some fresh cane juice from her farm. Location: It is located equal distance from the train station, clock tower area, and important Wats and Chinese Temples, all reachable on foot. It is tucked away off of the main road, so you don't here any motorbike traffic at night. The area is very walkable with nice sidewalks. Room: Nicely furnished room, comfy bed, good lighting and lots of space to unpack/repack bags/luggage. It is also very charming the way it is decorated. I had to use the wifi for an online meeting, and it worked great at the desk in the room. I came back for 2 more night after some time on the inlands, and had another great stay. The hosts is very generous with her time, explaining to me some of the culture aspects of Trang including the buddist holidays that were going on and sharing traditional foods/snacks made at the home. They also offered me a late checkout at 14:00 without even asking when they heard that I was taking the train at 14:45 that day.

There really isn't anything I didn't like about my stay here. It was a quiet, comfortable, convienient accomodation from arrival to departure. And if you would like to experience a little of the people and culture of Thailand during your travels, then this is the place for you!

The genuine hospitality at Baan Bussaba Hotel made our stay truly memorable. Anne is a wonderful host who goes above and beyond to make guests feel welcome, offering local advice, scooter hire and assistance whenever needed. The rooms were clean, comfortable and well maintained, the bed was comfortable, and the location made it easy to walk to local cafés, restaurants and shops. Combined with the option of an affordable breakfast each morning, it offered everything we needed for an enjoyable stay.

There was very little to fault. The rooms are fairly simple and functional rather than luxurious, but they are clean, comfortable and represent excellent value for money.

Everything was great, our host Anne was so kind and made sure that we had everything we needed. The rooms are modest but very clean and had everything we needed. Anne really made the experience special for us and helped us coordinate everything we wanted to do with good prices. I'd recommend Baan Bussaba to good friends who don't need luxurious rooms but enjoy a personal touch.

Exceptional hospitality - thank you for your generosity and kindness, Anne. Excellent value for money. Room/property is well maintained, cozy, and very clean. Amenities worked fine - AC, water heater, Wi-Fi, fridge. Good lighting inside the room. Drinking water is provided daily. There is a communal area at the reception where guests can help themselves to a selection of refreshments. Comprehensive, printed travel guides are available in the room. The property also has a beautiful garden full of vegetables, fruits, herbs, etc. Quiet location, and walking distance to the centre of town. Definitely felt like home away from home. Highly recommended, and we would definitely return.

Drainage in the shower is a little slow. Bed/mattress is slightly uncomfortable.

An absolute gem. Anne was full of smiles and really helpful when I arrived after the overnight train. There was fresh fruit, biscuits and coffee available. There was very little plastic around, with water provided in glass bottles which I really appreciated, and a food waste bin for fruit peel. The room was lovely with a desk and two big windows. Anne was also so kind, helping with our onward travels, checking out various bus options and arranging a tuk tuk to the terminal. Oh and there are toys for the children.... And the food is delicious. I just wish we could've stayed longer to enjoy this guesthouse and explore the area.
