Location is perfect - an easy (around 20 minutes) walk into town but also loads of cafes and restaurants next to the hotel, including some great coffee shops and a vegan restaurant is just 5 mins walk away too. The owner is super helpful and friendly.
I think for the price, it was great. I didn't expect more.
Bua was an excellent host, very welcoming, friendly and helpful with all local information and anything I needed. The property is in a quiet suburb area, so very private and completely silent at night. The rooms are small, but have everything you need, including a fridge and kettle and a little outdoor deck. There is also a great guest outdoor area on one side. From here is a short walk to shops, cafes, restaurants, and about 15 minutes to the main markets and shopping areas.
Lovely host, very helpful and kind, great room, very clean and good air con, great location, excellent 👌
A very nice property. The room is clean and the bed extremely comfortable. Excellent management and friendly staff. Quiet area, yet everything is easily accessible. Thank you.
Bed bugs and bed stains, we slept in the car.
Bed bugs and bed stains.
The location within padi fields & it's quiet. There's access to bread/toast, fruits, coffee & tea all the time.
The bungalow is actually a little bamboo hut with a very thin mattress. The power socket is not safe as it just hangs. Because it's so green, do expect mosquitoes. Bring your own coil or repellent. The rooms are big, with TV, AC, fan, fridge, hot shower, snacks & beverage (chargeable). Comfortable beds & pillows.
It's a bit out of the way, but totally worth it. The room was superb, with all the mod.cons, and even a stocked minibar. Loved the private terrace outside the Bungalow. It had a proper table and chairs. (Western height where you can sit upright and get some work done). There is also a lovely little sitting area overlooking the mountains and the Paddy fields. Perfect for a sundowner watching the sunset. The room was spotlessly clean with a spacious bathroom. The staff speaks no English, but are so good and fast with Google translate. Excellent Wifi. Some unusual dislike stopped me from giving it a 10.
Some stress factors following my booking! I booked and paid through Booking.com, then I got a message about paying cash upon arrival. They also said I had to arrive by 4 pm (despite my confirmation said midnight), to secure my room (which I had paid for). No morning hike for me in Mae Salong, and if you are coming from That Ton, you won't make it by 4 pm! They offered to pick me up from the bus station for 100 Bath, but there are so many public Songthaews running from right within the bus station to the border for 20 Bath. There is a content list on the minibar. Check it when you arrive, as my fridge was short of 1 large beer and 1 bottle of tea. I got them to take a photo of it, to avoid an instant 100 Bath loss. Also it's worth noting that the minibar is not being refilled during your stay if you stay more than 1 night, and extras might not be available. 7 eleven is almost 1 km away, so plan ahead.
Nothing
Dark, no windows, small room, hard beds impossible to sleep, no English speaking staff, seedy bathroom. No electricity until nighttime. Totally overpriced. Never come back.
