JonViaggio in solitaria · Oct 12Always love staying at the Mountain View Guest House and have been going there now for over 20 years. Perfect location in the old city near the gate and moat, comfortable bed, great sized room, friendly staff, beautiful garden and dining area in the back, super close to absolutely everything. Mini-fridge in the room and hot water shower are great too! I would highly recommend the MVGH to anyone going to Chiang Mai.

AmosViaggio in solitaria · Sep 16I have stayed here many times, and the service has been consistently the same. It's in a great location, the prices are amazing, and the staff is great. They clean the room every day and restock the fridge with two water bottles for free. The bathroom was also updated since the last time I stayed with them.
The mattress is pretty firm but not uncomfortable, but considering it's Thailand and they need their furniture to hold up, I am ok with that.

The stairs are too steep, not the best experience if you have to carry your own suitcase, though the staff do it for you if asked.
