Beautiful hotel in a nice part of Sunrise Beach. Breakfast, staff, rooms everything was 10/10. I couldn't fault a thing about the hotel.

We stayed for 4 nights as part of our Thailand tour - could have stayed their for 2 weeks. Hotel is clean , staff are great, breach front , breakfast is awesome. We had a pool view room without a pool view but when we asked they did move us. Rooms are a good size . Would definitely go back.

Our beachfront room was lovely with views out to the grass area and the beach and sea. Nice big bed and bathroom with a walk in rain shower. Perfect for Breakfast as it was opposite the room and near the bar and pool too. As opposed to most of the rooms that were set further back and up the stairs towards reception. It was at the end of Sunrise Beach but we enjoyed walking along trying the different places for lunch. In the evening we walked towards Walking Street which was only a 10min walk or you could get a Tuk Tuk. We would definitely come back, we had a great time.

We loved our 4 nights here. Everywhere is spotless and modern and the staff cannot do enough to make your stay enjoyable. Breakfast is plentiful and interesting, happy hour drinks are great value (finally ticked off the swim up bar off the bucket list) and the order to lounger drink & lunch service is great! We stayed in a garden cabana which was spacious and beautiful. Sun hats, beach bag and towels are provided … nice touch. We took advantage of the shuttle to walking street each night and loved the madness and vibrancy of the place. We did the inner island snorkel tour organised by the activities desk. Great day with unbelievable snorkelling with colourful fish. Huge Bento lunch and lots of water provided. Very good value. Would definitely recommend staying here, close enough to the fun of the centre but far enough for peace. Be aware that there are a lot of steps between reception and the beach so may not suit those less able.

Fantastic return visit to the Idyllic! All the staff are so friendly and accommodating. Beautiful location. Rooms are well designed. We booked a 'pool view room with bath tub'. Unfortunately we did have to move rooms to noisy air conditional units next to our room had a oud continuous buzzing which affected our sleep (avoid room 510 because they couldn't resolve the issue), but the hotel was very helpful and we move to room 506 soon after we highlighted the issue. I would recommend the hotel reviews their sun loungers and replaces the broken ones (only a small number). I think we were there when the hotel was at full capacity. The workers did their best to accommodate and even try to fix some broken loungers, but it would be a far better experience if the broken loungers were replaced as well as some of the parasols that have seen better days! Even so, they were very comfy! The resort is generally well maintained and the above did not take away from a fabulous experience. I would like so mention four individuals that made our stay that extra bit special; On, Reena, Mia and Nan. All four of these individuals had a positive impact on our stay, their warmness and genuine desire to do a good job and look after their guests was so very obvious, so thank you to them all :-)

We had booked a room with direct pool access, and the room was really large, spacious, and beautiful with a lovely view over one of the pools. However, there was no direct pool access, which we found a bit strange. Nice hotel with an okay breakfast, though with a few shortcomings. For example, there was no yogurt, and the egg station was very slow. Beautiful beach area with a very peaceful atmosphere, and there were enough sunbeds for everyone, which is a huge plus! The hotel offers a shuttle to Walking Street at 6 pm and back again at 8 pm. In a perfect world, this would run several times in the evening, as it’s not really possible to walk to Walking Street. The largest fitness center we have ever seen at a hotel . The island in general is very touristy, and it is probably the dirtiest island in Thailand that we have visited.

Wonderful hotel and great service. I was there with my old father and my husband. Despite the difficult situation created by the agency (my father is on wheelchair and the Hotel has at least 60 steps from the lobby to the beach, restaurant and bar) they has been able to manage the situation in the best possible way. We have been assigned into 2 nice rooms by the see and porters were so helpful to carry my father up and down when needed We had a wonderful stay. Breakfast is amazing, fresh and various. Roti made fresh by order are simply unbelievable We had also nice lunches and dinner A very special thanks to Mia and Na who takes cares of us in the most special way you can imagine ! The beach is really nice (a bit windy in the night). Everything is very closed by local tuk tuk We really hope to be you also next year

This was our second visit to the Idyllic, we love the position of the hotel straight on the beach. Our room was kept very clean and there was staff tending the gardens everyday. Breakfast was very nice with Asian and European food available. We didn’t eat every night in the Hôtel restaurant as it was windy some evenings, but the nights we did eat the staff were lovely and remembered what we drank . Nan who works in the restaurant is this hotel biggest asset, watching her speaking to everyone on the beach barbecue night was how all staff in hotels she should be. We hope to return again next year

The right name. This place is conceptually idyllic. By a beautiful beach with pools and a lovely cafe. The breakfast was delicious and the home made roti deserves its own (glowing) review. The rooms have almost no privacy. They are right on top of each other. The decor is worn and dated in places. Our room had a leak in the ceiling, dust in the bath and the last night we were woken at 3am by the air conditioner dripping on our bed. The pools are small and cold. One had stuff floating in it when we arrived. Next to one there is a flat roof with standing water which attracts bugs. Behind it there is rubbish dumped. The food is the most expensive we came across on the island and far from the best. Most staff really don’t speak English so it is hard to communicate or ask for anything. We had a lovely time and loved the island but if we came again we would opt for one of the “three star” like castaway which seemed better maintained and staffed.
