Perfect week in Chiang Mai at the Smile Lanna Hotel.

We visit Chiang Mai at least twice a year and have stayed at some very good hotels and resorts. We booked Smile Lanna only a few days before we arrived and were not disappointed. It’s in a very good location, just opposite Buak Hard Public Park, which is very relaxing and open from 6 a.m. until late. The hotel is beautifully designed and landscaped throughout, with lovely gardens, a pool, and small rice paddies with a little river running alongside. The pool is nice, and the breakfast and room service are good. In the mornings there are free crafts (soap and bracelet making) for kids and adults alike, though you can tip. In the afternoons there are free cakes, cookies, and fruit. However, the best thing of all about Smile Lanna was the staff, who were absolutely fantastic, with a special mention to Khun Doi, who was always there to help with an enthusiastic smile.

Everyone we wanted in an excellent hotel

Excellent hotel, our room faced onto the pool & was big & spacious. Staff were excellent, they all went above & beyond in everything, Breakfast was very good, free afternoon refreshments, cake & fruit were a bonus. The free bead & candle making every morning was enjoyable. The free mini bus to different locations were excellent, as well as free pick up & return journeys to the airport. Would highly recommend the hotel & would definitely return again.
