Ashi Guesthouse Chiangdao

Sehr gutes Frühstück mit viel Auswahl. Viel Platz im Haus und drum herum. Die Besitzer sind sehr nett und geben gute Tipps für die Umgebung.

Die Bilder sind schon etwas älter, es ist schon alles etwas abgenutzt. Die Terrasse etwas verlassen und uneinladent. Kein Massageangebot.

For me, this is one of the best places to stay in Chiang Dao. The view is simply breathtaking and honestly makes this place so special. Waking up to these mountains is something I will definitely remember. The people were incredibly kind and welcoming, and the breakfast was really good. I also really appreciated that I could rent a scooter directly there, which made exploring Chiang Dao so easy. But the absolute highlight is the view. You could just sit there for hours and enjoy the mountains and the peaceful atmosphere. It is one of those places where you really slow down and enjoy the moment. For me, the perfect place in Chiang Dao and definitely somewhere I would come back to. ❤️

I've stayed at Ashi before and I'm mainly there for the location, spectacular view of the mountain, the ramen & craft beer, and the fine company of the hosts who I often hang out with in the cafe and chit chat. It feels like I'm visiting with friends and hanging out at their house. The upper floor big veranda afforded such spectacular view of the mountain each morning. Bring ear plugs because the night critters are noisy around these parts!

My room's bathroom was struggling to drain and got worse as the days went by. It became a puddle and required longer and longer to drain. No other issues.

The food is quite simple

Best thing was the location. Superb place to watch the Sun go Down. Good Base also for Trips such as walking & exploring the area. Room was satisfactory with Common Area for mingling & coffee station. Craft Beer served was excellent & Staff generally friendly.

Breakfast was limited with just the basics available. Need to arrange your Transport to get around as a distance from the Town. Some places closed, due to Low Season visit. Access difficult if you have restricted mobility.

Wish I could give this place a higher score, it was so peaceful and relaxing, beautiful views, staff are kind and helpful. Cannot explain how calming it is

the cafe attached to the guesthouse is lovely, very rustic and feels right at home in the landscape, the food and drinks were also good. the staff were friendly all round, very easy to speak to, its also right opposite a small shop, and a short scooter ride into the Chiang Dao town itself. The guesthouse itself is lovely, I had booked one of the smaller rooms on account of being a solo traveller on a budget but they offer larger and more well equipped rooms also.

Not much to say on this front, for a rural and inexpensive guesthouse all expectations were met, i went searching for peace and definitely found it.

Included breakfast was delicious and the host was very kind. The homestay has taxi services if you don’t have a car and don’t feel comfortable riding a motorcycle. They drove me up the mountain for the sunrise and the hot springs for a very reasonable price.

Make sure you check if the room you book as AC or not. But even without AC the room was ok to sleep in during the rainy season with a fan.

The place, the room at the back of the house, quiet and fresh. The café at the front with good food and a nice view, and the friendly team. Thank you!

I had an issue in my room with the bathroom flooding. It was rain season and the ceiling was leaking water straight onto the toilet. It just needs some maintenance because otherwise everything else was great.
