  • Cleanliness9.2
Multiple reviewers explicitly note the hotel is very clean and rooms are kept tidy despite being dated.
  • Service9.5
Staff consistently praised as friendly, helpful and quick to assist; only occasional mention of a grumpy chef at breakfast.

Mixed comments: some appreciate proximity to parts of the city, but several guests find it a bit far from the centre and requiring busy street crossings.

Rooms are described as comfortable (good beds) but repeatedly noted as dated, '80s style, and in need of renovation.

Several guests comment it is good value or worth the price, with the caveat of some higher a la carte costs (e.g., wine).

Basic 3 star with disappointing breakfast

I liked the proximity to the city

This is a dated property and definitely 3 star quality. The breakfast didn’t have gluten free bread every day, despite repeated requests. There was very little hot food that was gluten free as most food covered in wheat flour and soy sauce made from wheat. This made it difficult to eat a filling breakfast if you require gluten free food due to Coeliac Disease (which is common across the world with 3% of population unable to process wheat products.) I was limited to eating eggs, yoghurt, plain rice, fruit and salads which was not okay but breakfast without bread for a westerner is not satisfactory.
