This is quite long….and meant as feed back to the hotel not as a complaint…. The reviews on this hotel are amazing but I must have missed something because to me it’s a 3* at best, ( which is to be fair the official rating) it’s in need of some refurbishment and a good clean, it’s a little grubby. We didn’t start off well as they had overbooked our room type for the 1st night, which iv since noticed is reported quite often on other reviews, we booked a grand deluxe bungalow on the beach but offered a premium room and 2000thb for 1 night, not happy at all about this as we had booked almost a year in advance, we were told there would be a room available the next day at 12pm but we had to chase this up, there was no follow up from the hotel, we didn’t accept the 2000thb so they upt the offer to just over 3000thb. When we eventually got settled in our room I must admit I was very disappointed, it was not as luxurious as the photos portray, it was tired, damp, grubby and unfortunately I caught sight of the mattress before they’d made up the room, it was brown with stains, admittedly they do put mattress protectors but it bothered me the entire holiday, ….once seen can’t be unseen ! There was a large patch if damp near the wardrobe, this made the wardrobe smell a little fausty, I assumed this was a result of the shower being behind that wall which had strange blocked tiles that didn’t look watertight. The room was plagued with mosquitoes, not the hotels fault, the open air bathroom meant that after it rained there was an open invitation for the mosquitoes to pile in, so every visit was followed by another set of new bites, to be fair we reported this to the ladies who cleaned the room and they arranged for some plug ins. If you do book this room type request NOT to have room 8918, it’s next to the pool, bar and entertainment and although handy for the beach, in the evenings the windows vibrate with the noise. I think the air con needs servicing, it’s blows down directly onto the bed and we have both come home with chest infections….With all these problems we could have asked to move rooms but after the fuss of the 1st day we didn’t like how that left us feeling, no one likes to start their holiday with an argument with the manager…we didn’t want to be seen as ‘oh them they are complainers’ ……..we’ve been to Thailand 5 times and never had the need to complain. One of the waiters said the manager had asked ‘ why is the restaurant not busy’, well I can answers that, the food is awful !! and overpriced, you can get much better standard in any of the the restaurants outside for half the price, you always pay more in a hotel and we don’t mind paying extra if the food is good but it’s really not !!! shame because the staff are lovely and work very hard. Iv worked in travel for 32 years and in all my travels Iv never stayed in a hotel that has such strange rules about beach towels, you are asked to return your towel to your room at 16.00 so it can be replaced, if you don’t you don’t get a clean one!!! So you have to leave the beach before 16.00 or sit on your lounger with no towel. What I soon learnt, after doing as requested on the 1st day, was no one comes to replace your towel at 16.00, how can they possibly do this for every room, they turn up at all different times so it’s pot luck if you get a clean one, I did call to request clean ones a few times, surely there’s an easier way around this, our room was on the beach so we could keep a look out for the towel lady, but some were a long way off so this system would really be annoying. The good…..the beach is beautiful!!! When the sea is calm it’s truly amazing, no rocks just lovely soft sand under your feet. The grounds are full of lush tropical plants ( except the plastic orchids !! Really!!! in Thailand) ….the guys who drive the buggies are fab, as are the security guards who help you cross the busy road, the guys who get your beach umbrella everyday they work so hard, Sorry this is probably the worst review Iv ever written but this one is just not me, won’t be returning.
We loved this place about everything. Its located closed to a beautiful quiet beach and we had our breakfast every morning watching the waves. The service is nice, friendly and professional. Everything perfect. We will return.
We rented a deluxe bungalow which is perfect. Big comfortable bed, secluded in a tropical environment and spacious enough for two people. All facilities are there. But, a big shout out to the staff overall and especially to the beautiful singer Kuk at the bar, who kept everybody entertained and happy. Beautiful voice and very interactive with all the guest. So much fun. We will come back for sure. Tom & Gianni
Great hotel would definitely visit again
Thank you for your kind service and nice smile Da :) we will be back 🥰
We really enjoyed our stay. Beautiful manicured gardens and great location on the beach. Rooms have different styles we stayed in a bungalow near the beach and loved it. Room fairly basic but large TV , fridge freezer (small), comfortable bed, roomy bathroom and very clean We absolutely loved it. There is an uphill wall to the road, but there's golf buggies if you don't want to walk it. Extremely friendly helpful staff. Excellent breakfast 👌 We had a fantastic time. Big thank you to all the wonderful staff , the beautiful gardens and tropical birds and butterflies
Really nice hotel. Staff are lovely. Cleaners are very honest, they let you know if you’ve left anything in your room. Food is decent. We had a great time!
Avoid this resort if you don’t want to be forced into a dirty, substandard room. It is clearly their practice to intentionally overbook and "shift" guests around, breaking contracts to maximize profit. We arrived at 10 PM with a pregnant wife and a 4-year-old, only to be told our bungalow wasn’t available. They forced us into a "standard room" (8606) that was an absolute disgrace: Safety Hazard: A faulty, exposed electrical socket at child-height. Filthy: Insect droppings on the walls and bird feces on the windows. Maintenance: Broken AC (84% humidity) and wobbly, poorly maintained appliances. Despite having 8 hours from check-in until our arrival to address the issue, the resort did nothing. The next day, it took 2 hours of our vacation time just to move into the room we actually paid for. Management (Dadaa) was unprofessional, failing to follow up as promised and offering a measly 1,000–2,000 THB discount—which is insulting given the safety risks and lack of hygiene. This hotel gambles with your holiday. Don't let them pick you to "suck it up." Stay elsewhere.
We really enjoyed our time at Fair House, and the warmth and hospitality of the staff. They were very good with our small children, especially Noree. Kim was also very knowledgeable and helpful. We would come again.
We have been staying at Fair House for a few days now and everything has been great. The staff is amazing and by far our highlight has been Mr Kim (an absolutely amazing person and he runs a tight ship) I definitely recommend coming here!
