Emplacement personnel tres sympa
Domage que certaines prestations ne sont plus le spa par exemple.
The hotel has a very good location — practically everything is close by. There are many shops, restaurants, and other services directly under the hotel and nearby, so you do not have to walk far. This was very convenient, especially for a short stay in Bangkok. We would also like to especially mention the lady at the reception, who was very kind, polite, and helpful. Thanks to her, we felt very welcome from the beginning. The room was fine, and our whole stay went smoothly.❤️ Joanna & Dominik
My rating: Positive: free early check in, speedy, deposit fee 3000 Baht +quiet room just beside Royal Thai Suite +double bed with 4 pillows +east side view on sunrise +large wardrobe with 5+5 hangers (little bit hard moving sliding door) +refrigerator & safety locker +water kettle to have tea, coffee whitener & sugar provided +2 Glas bottles Chang water +cable tv in dual mode setting +curtain for dark room (good for crews) +many small drawers for stowage +in room slippers +silent aircon
Negative: bathroom door 🚪 opening inside; better would be sliding door or into gangway -smelling when coming into room, unable to open window to air as window is locked -weak waterflow in shower and lavabo -dust under bed, never vacuuming ?? -emergency flashlight 🔦 inop But I was given handheld flashlight 👍🏻 -no stationary or paper for small notes
Location only
Service
Room was ok . Need to improve Breakfast by changing the daily menu. When it indicates Halal-friendly, It does not match for most of the others who are not Muslims, and it gives a negative impact for the taste of all others. Because there are no pork sausages, ham, and other non-Muslim food.
Muslim friendly breakfast
Always my favourite place to stay in Bangkok
Everything
We got married at this hotel in 1998 so it has always had a soft spot for us. We have been back on a previous occasioned the hotel was still as I remembered it. Now unfortunately it has aged considerably. It is still well located and only a 10 min walk from one of the airport rail link stations. Good night market around and a couple go good shopping areas. The rooms are big and comfortable and clean. If you are looking for a well priced place to stay in Bangkok, then this hotel would do well, but there are better options around.
Reception was a disaster. The staff are not well trained any more, bad language skills and not very forthcoming. Because we arrived earlier than the normal check in time, we were offered to check in earlier at a cost which we took. The hotels credit card machine did not work and I kept on being asked for a different card because their machine did not work or the operator did not know how to work it. After a reset it worked fine. I have an idea that cash might have been what was expected??. The entrance to the hotel is bleak and not as vibey as I remembered. A cash deposit is now also expected from guests, so I am afraid that standards have dropped considerable for what was one a 4 star establishment. We had a long day and decided to have dinner at the hotels restaurant which ended up being closed at 20:45 but the hotel information stated that the restaurant was open until 22:00, which meant having to wander the area to find a place to eat. We are going back to Bangkok again in a couple of days, but I will unfortunately not go back to the Indra Regent. Pity as there are/were some fond memories of this hotel.
Location & Proximity to main city and shopping streets
The property is dated. The price is good but for similar price you would get upgraded properties. The internal room spaces are big, but can be planned in a better way with modern amenities.
Excellent stay. Very comfy bed. Good buffet breakfast. Fantasic swimming pool.
No extractor fan in bathroom. Some onsite facilities closed
Prime location and good renovation
Could be more clean , specially deep cleaning , inside bed , edges filled with dust etc.
