Wow this place was my saddest experience during my 3 year travels. On arrival I noticed that my room did not have the balcony as advertised, I immediately asked them for the correct room, to which I was expected to pay an extra large amount per night, which took me out of my expected budget & gave me ample other hotel options to choose from in the same price bracket. Due to my last minute booking prepaid for 5 nights and late arrival at 10pm I was exhausted. I got the room change for 1 night on discussion that we would discuss this room matter with booking.com the next day & if I needed to move due to the price increase that would be possible. The new room was lovely with private balcony, big bathroom & definitely too big for my needs, however the freezer was completely iced & needed defrosting, the bathroom door handle fell off the bathroom window was broken & the TV was not set on any channels & the door to the room would not lock correctly from the outside when leaving the premises. These issues were minor as my big issue was simply that the owner refused my refund to move guesthouse after our discussion on arrival & insisted on blaming Booking.com for keeping my pre -payment. This uncomfortable ordeal was not necessary and a simple change of room free of charge ( due to their fake advertising mistake) & actually making an effort to change how they advertise the rooms online should have been applied. As the money hungry owner did not align with any smooth customer service, this made my forced stay even more uncomfortable. I can see why this hotel was once popular as the architectural features were lovely, however as the hotel is now so eerie, clearly empty and rundown even the service has soured with no understanding of correct advertising or understanding of their clients as individuals, it just a numbers game, which is very sad.

The unprofessional behavior by the owner

Very nice hotel, the room was very clean and comfortable with all the amenities. The staff was very helpful and professional, we had an issue with the water in our shower and they promptly solved it.

The location is a bit far from the city but it’s still manageable given the generally low taxi prices.

Beautiful room, comfy bed and friendly staff. The pools and gardens were lovely and the price very reasonable.

Sehr ruhige Lage (direkt am Fluss, keine lauten Nachbarhotels oder andere ständig störende Geräusche!!), sehr stillvolles Ambiente (Räumlichkeiten, Pool-Bereich, Restaurant, etc.). Super freundliches und zuvorkommendes Personal - alle sind sehr bemüht und professionell. Es wird ein gutes Englisch gesprochen. Wunderschöner tropischer Innenhof - alles sehr gepflegt und auf neuestem Stand. Mit dem Roller/Taxi sind es nur knappe 15 Minuten in die Altstadt

Es liefen über Tage hinweg immer die selben 2 albernen Lieder abwechselnd in Dauerschleife. Die Beschallung war im gesamten Hotel, selbst im Zimmer konnte man sich dem nicht entziehen. Die Zimmer selbst waren sehr klein und boten kaum Privatsphäre. Die Zimmertüren sind eher Deko, jegliche Unterhaltung dringt von außen nach innen und umgekehrt und leider auch wie vorhin erwähnt die Musik. Man stößt andauernd irgendwo an! Wir beide haben mehrere blaue Flecken. Und für ein umgefallenes Weinglas, was auch nur Resultat der Enge war, wurde uns eine Rechnung von 4700 Baht präsentiert.
