Accueil - pas de réceptionniste, un employé nous a remis la clé de notre villa, sans aucune explications et un bagagiste ne parlant que le thaï nous y a conduit Chambre - magnifique chambre, mais problèmes avec les trois climatiseurs et personne pour nous aider et y remédier Plage et piscine - ouverture â 1130 heure. Pas de serviettes de bain avant l’ouverture, 6 chaises d’un certain âge et six fauteuils en tout et pour tout pour l’hôtel et ce près de la piscine. Strictement rien sur la plage. Aucun personnel tout le matin Bar de plage - ouverture à 1200 heures. Installations sales et très anciennes. Frigos avec du contenu douteux. L’intérieur du bar est couvert avec les linges de piscine usagés pendant la nuit et toute la matinée. Pas vu un client pendant les quatre jours de notre séjours Restaurant de plage - vu trois personne un jour à midi et jamais personne le soir Petit déjeuner - 15 minutes pour obtenir des œufs et du bacon, alors que nous étions les premiers clients ! Le second jour du bacon froid, et d’une qualité plus que douteuse nous a été servi

Établissement magnifique, on se croirait dans un palais thaïlandais. Le personnel est adorable. La plage est magnifique. Les chambres sont grandes et confortables. La piscine privée est un bonheur.

Dommage qu’il n’y ait pas de transats sur la plage mais je crois qu’ils n’ont pas le droit. L’espace transat face à la mer pourrait être amélioré. Lamai est excentré.

TOUT. emplacement de l hôtel, la plage magnifique, le personnel chaleureux et accueillant. un excellent séjour, un endroit magnifique dont on gardera un merveilleux souvenir.

Second year in a row staying at this small property. The staff are exceptional, and the food is fantastic. The location is also excellent, allowing you to access the small road that leads to the center of Lamai.

Das wunderbare Personal, herzlich und diskret und immer hilfsbereit; die schöne Einrichtung, bequeme Betten, schöner Poolbereich, das hervorragend Frühstück in traditioneller Deko mit Golddecke; das wunderbare Restaurant, die Ruhe, die Gartenanlage…..

Rein gar nichts.

Big room but very expensive. Needs alot of repair and maintenance. Staff are mostly friendly.

Ammatara Pura bietet ein fantastisches tempelartiges Anwesen direkt am Strand gelegen. Wir haben uns für die Pool Villa mit Gartenblick entschieden und sie war perfekt. Die Ausstattung hatte wirklich alles zu bieten, von perfekt eingerichteter Küche bis Aussendusche, und der Aussenbereich war ein Ort der Entspannung und Ruhe. Wenn man mag, ist man jedoch auch fussläufig direkt im Trubel mit vielen Restaurants, Bars und Geschäften. Das Frühstück ist der Wahnsinn und das Personal unglaublich freundlich und zuvorkommend

This is a very beautiful property, designed like a Thai temple or palace. It is exceptional, quiet and relaxing. Decor is a bit tired in places but nothing a good maintenance team couldn’t quickly sort out. Some basic upgrading and painting is required. The breakfast room has wonderful staff but is a dark traditional room on a bright sunny morning with tired old piano music playing on a loop. It’s bleak. Put a breakfast kitchen (egg station) in the beach front restaurant and serve from there - provide a better experience for guests. There’s new management but they need to be innovative and shake things up a bit. The pool villa is fantastic.

The beach bar/restaurant is under used, there is no life to the place. Such a shame as it has a wonderful location on the beach and is built in a lovely traditional style. There’s nothing like it along the whole beach and it should be attracting a lot of attention. Instead, it looks closed, especially in the evenings. Play some good music (not the rap music we experienced), bring some atmosphere into the place and have an easy going menu. Bring it to life! The bar staff although very pleasant just lack the personality to sustain a busy bar/restaurant. It will need direction to succeed.

The hotel was smaller than expected but it gave a great feel of a local almost boutique hotel. Staff were super attentive without you feeling they were hovering. They were always around when you needed them, very helpful and very polite. The architecture was stunning, well functioning and well kept. We booked a room with garden view but it also had sea view. The room was very big, clean and included a bubble bath, full kitchen, walk-in-closet, several desks and a pool. Food was amazing. Breakfast could be ordered via a QR code the day before with a very large level of flexibility in the orders. Lunch and dinner was equally great although somewhat more expensive than going to other local restaurants. We booked room service a few times and it was swift and very tasty. The beach is great and child friendly (I’ve stayed at Bophut beach before which is also good but visibility in the water and they steepness of the water makes it less ideal if you have kids).

I don’t have much to fault on this hotel. The only thing (if I really try to be critical) is the fact that the air con in the Gym is not particularly good and the Gym feels a bit like a basement. The Gym is fully functioning so it’s a very minor thing in my book. I would definitely consider coming back to the hotel next time I’m visiting Samui.
