MarkViaje en grupo · Sep 9Amazing views out to the reservoir. Set up high in the hills with views from the beds looking out and from the huge balcony. Staff were super helpful and friendly and brought our food to our room so we could dine on the balcony dining area looking out at the views.
Wouldn’t really class it as dislike but it is quite remote, so you can’t pop out to the shops. But that only makes it more special. Quite a hidden gem!

เส้นทางค่อนข้างเปลี่ยว ทางช่วงกิโลเมตร สุดท้ายเป็นถนนลูกลัง และช่วงสุดท้ายค่อนข้างชัน(แต่รถเก่งไปได้สบาย) บันไดขึ้นที่พักค่อนข้างชัน

ErdbeerbergViaje en familia · Feb 27Das Baanhatsompean Homestay "in" Ranong liegt eigentlich ziemlich abgelegen. Das haben wir ein wenig unterschätzt, und die Leute vor Ort kannten es auch erstmal nicht. Man muss da einen "Canyon", eine Talenge, hinauffahren, und dort liegt das Ding dann an einem ziemlichen steilen Hang, nahe einem Stausee. Man ist in Wirklichkeit mitten im Dschungel - was faszinierend und cool ist, und sehr schöne Aussichten liefert. Die Leute dort sind alle sehr zuvorkommend, wie immer eigentlich, und das Hotel bietet Essen an. Wir dachten, wenn man dort zB als Paar, ohne Kinder, ein paar Tage abhängen will, ist es irgendwie romantisch, etwas wild, und bietet wirklich ausreichend Komfort. Mit Kindern...andere Geschichte.
Es gibt vor Ort wenig zu tun. Der Stausee ist zwar hübsch, aber dort zu spazieren, ist keine Option, weil zu heiß und weil die Straße doch eher groß und unangenehm ist, zudem gibt es anscheinend streunende Hunde in der Gegend. Man kommt ohne Fahrzeug von dort nicht in die Stadt, das würde ca. 1,5 Stunden Fußmarsch bedeuten - es ist nicht einfach, mit den Leuten vor Ort über die Reise in die Stadt und vor allem auch retour zu kommunizieren. Wir haben uns dann zu einem Hotelwechsel in die Stadt (Ranong) hinein entschieden, weil unsere beiden kleinen Kinder das dort länger nicht ausgehalten hätten, und somit wir auch nicht. Faszinierend war, wie wahnsinnig heiß und schwül es dort sein kann: der Dschungel liefert eine wirklich hohe Luftfeuchtigkeit und bei 33-35°Celsius ist das dann wirklich intensiv!
OpheliaViaje en pareja · Feb 25We really liked the architecture of the houses and rooms, and the very well maintained garden with many plants and fruits to discover. The view, the breeze, the nice family and the food made it a special time for us in Ranong. We also enjoyed the scooter ride through the very green area with great views.

TaraViaje en grupo · Mar 10De locatie is nog mooier dan op de foto's. Je komt er echt helemaal tot rust. Ideaal als je in even weg wil van de drukte. Er waren ook bijna geen muggen of beestjes (wat je wel verwacht midden in de jungle). De erco was heerlijk en de bedden goed. De mensen waren echt heel vriendelijk, spreken niet zo goed Engels, maar zijn wel erg communicatief en vriendelijk.
De locatie is in wat ver (maar dat wisten we) taxies regelen is een beetje een uitdaging, maar daar helpen de eigenaren je ook bij.

Niets viel echt tegen, besef dat je voor 16.00 uur moet doorgeven als je savonds iets wilt eten. De keuken sluit om 18.30 uur. De badkamer kan een upgrade gebruiken. De bedden zijn zoals bijna overal in Thailand erg hard.
